Get an overview of the many scholarship residences in Denmark and abroad that give artists the opportunity for new inspiration under different skies. The Danish Artist Association is co-owner of the residence Lille Skriveren, where we can allocate eight weeks to our members every year. The remaining scholarship residences are available to all artists and performers. Read more about the opportunities below.

The annual application deadline for a working stay in the house between Hirtshals and Skagen is 1 November.
Klitgården is a retreat in Skagen with room for 15 people. Members of the Danish Artists' Council's member organisations - including the Danish Artists' Association - can apply for a scholarship to stay at the farm.
In the Marais district of Paris, the government's scholarship residence is where Danish artists can apply for a work placement. Applicants with a connection to France or Paris are prioritised.
The application deadline for residency in 2025 is 1 October 2024.
Danish musicians, composers and writers can apply for scholarships at San Cataldo in Italy. The stays at the monastery last 2-4 weeks and can only be applied for individually.
The application deadline is twice a year and the next application period is 1 March - 30 March 2024.
Artists in all art forms, musicians and writers can bring their projects to the Italian capital. At the Danish Institute in Rome, you can apply for both shorter and longer working stays.
The next application deadline will be published in August 2024 for stays in spring 2025.
Skandinavisk Forening - in Italian Circolo Scandinavo - offers scholarships for performing artists in all fields of work. The old cultural centre is located in the heart of Rome and it is possible to apply for a stay of one month.
The application period is annually from 1 February - 1 April. Currently, the scholarship stays are on stand-by as the cultural centre is threatened with closure.
Performing artists, as well as researchers and students with a relevant project within Mediterranean literature, visual arts, architecture and cultural traditions can apply for scholarships. The Danish Institute has two residences in the Greek capital and prioritises stays of longer duration.
The institute has two application deadlines per year. The next deadline is 20 September 2024 and it applies to applications in spring 2025.
